Lake Park Diner breaks ground at Founder’s Square in North Naples. 🍔 The restaurant will be the third location of Lake Park Diner, a casual dining concept that started in 2019 in the Lake Park neighborhood of Naples. Co-owners Paul Fleming Restaurant Group and Smith Organics, both based in Naples, are completing the local brand’s second location in Bonita Springs. (GB)

SEC charges Naples resident with operating $35M Ponzi scheme. 🤑 The Securities and Exchange Commission charged Brent Seaman of Naples, Florida, on July 27, and various entities he managed for fraudulently raising approximately $35 million from at least 60 investors through an unregistered securities offering. Many of these investors were elderly, retired, and connected to a Naples church where Seaman was an active member. (NFW)

Hoffmann to acquire McCabe building on Fifth Avenue South. 💰 Hoffmann recently signed a definitive letter of intent to acquire the retail portion of the 5th and 5th building from the McCabe family. The three-story building at 465 Fifth Ave. S. features two floors of luxury condominiums above ground-floor retail shops and underground parking on the corner of Fifth Avenue South and Fifth Street South. The Ritz-Carlton, Naples expands culinary concepts with Mediterranean-style Sofra restaurant.🥘 Sofra, a Turkish term for gathering together to enjoy an extended meal, encourages guests to do exactly that. The open-air, Turkish-style restaurant and bar at the ground level of Vanderbilt Tower, facing the Gulf, is a new spot for guests and locals to enjoy a taste of the Mediterranean through its vegetable-forward mission.
