Collier County tourism numbers trail closely behind record 2022 highs. ✈️ Despite being amid Southwest Florida’s tourist slow season, Collier County Convention and Visitors Bureau continues to adjust from the impacts of Hurricane Ian while keeping the area’s tourism numbers close to record highs. Baleen Naples reopens at LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort. 🍸 The beachfront restaurant inside LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort reopened this week after being temporarily closed due to Hurricane Ian last year. The North Naples restaurant renovated its interior and revitalized its menu, which includes appetizers, such as Gulf snapper crudo, charred grilled octopus, forest mushrooms risotto and entrees, such as pan-roasted black grouper, U.S. Prime filet mignon, the Baleen Burger and sous vide poulet rouge. Town of Big Cypress gets final approval from Collier County; development to begin soon. 🏡 The town will connect two new villages planned by Collier Enterprises, known as Rivergrass and Bellmar. It will replace the developer's third approved village, Longwater, with the addition of roughly 544 acres to its borders. Centered in and around the two villages, the town will span more than 1,544 acres, off Oil Well Road, east of Golden Gate Estates. (NDN)

Ritz-Carlton Residences Estero Bay breaks ground. 🦺 The Ritz-Carlton Residences Estero Bay has been in the works since 2017. Last week, the Naples-based developer began construction on the first of two 22-story towers and celebrated selling more than 60% of the planned units for more than $252 million. (GB)
